Can You Use ClickFunnels With WordPress?

Sure you can. Just download and install the ClickFunnels plugin on your site. You can add your ClickFunnels pages to the WordPress site using the ClickFunnels plugin. This lets you customize the URL of your ClickFunnels pages. Though ClickFunnels gives you its own subdomain that goes like yourname.clickfunnels.com , you can easily integrate with any domain and customize your URL.

If I Can Only Use One, Should I Use ClickFunnels Or WordPress?

WordPress is for content management while ClickFunnels is built mainly for marketing products better and faster. A typical WordPress site was not designed to sell. Think of WordPress sites as brochures only meant to educate your customers. If you want to market your products efficiently, I highly recommend ClickFunnels.

Do I Need My Own Domain Name?

You do not necessarily need your own domain name to launch a funnel, although I would recommend it. If you don’t have one then your funnel URL will look something like http://username.clickfunnels.com . One nice bonus that I didn’t know about is that ClickFunnels will buy you your first domain name for free and even set up SSL on it for you. You can learn how to do this in the onboarding training.

If I Cancel My ClickFunnels Account, Will I Lose My Data?

As with most "software-as-a-service" platforms, when you cancel your account, your data will become inaccessible. Before canceling, I recommend you download CSV files of your contacts and members or "pause" your account and I believe they'll keep everything backed up waiting so you can come back again later.

Can You Setup Webinars In ClickFunnels?

While you can’t set up actual webinars, you can set up the funnels to get registrations. ClickFunnels is not webinar software. But you can use it as your lead generation tool for your webinar, and you can build out custom landing pages to host evergreen webinar replays for your audience.

It’s no news that ClickFunnels offers a FREE 14-day trial so you can explore the product out thoroughly to see if it is suitable for you and your business.

You do have to put in your card details when you sign up for the trial. But no worries because your card is not charged until you after 14 days and you can easily cancel anytime.

ClickFunnels Onboarding

To be honest, wrapping your head around all that ClickFunnels may seem overwhelming at first.

But this is helped with the most impressive on-boarding process I’ve seen in any software product.

When you first sign up, you’re presented with a 7-day challenge.

It consists of 4 different games with each one having a number of steps to complete.

Every step features a task and a short video clip of Russell explaining what you need to do to finish it.

The first game walks you through the process of building your own Hero Funnel, while the 2nd and 3rd games introduce you to the Funnel Hackers Cookbook and the Funnel University.

Finally, the last game is a Launch Checklist that walks you through everything you need to do before having your funnel go live.

Firstly, this lets you track and generate sales directly from the pages you create by one-click upsells/downsells, adding patent-pending two-step order forms, order form bumps, and more.

Secondly, this saves you money not having to use sites like ClickBank and Zaxaa that cost you more.

Then, this also makes buying experience seamless for your customers as they are not taken to another separate software for the delivery of products or purchasing.

#6. State of the art email marketing service

If you already have an autoresponder, you can keep using yours.

But ClickFunnels comes with its own email marketing service called Actionetics.

However, it is only available in the $297/month Etison suite plan (more on this soon)

Most people have this misconception that ClickFunnels Actionetics is just another email autoresponder.

Actionetics is far from that.

Actionetics takes CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to another level here.

The difference between other autoresponders and Actionetics is that you can create customized follow-up funnels based on the actions taken inside your funnel with Actionetics.

Follow-up funnels are more than just emails. Emails are just a small part of following up. There are also text messages, direct-mail gifts and postcards, Facebook Messenger messages, and special follow-up email offers.

Actionetics customizes the follow-up based on each person’s purchases, their social influence, and their actions within your funnel.

However, if you just want to grow a list for right now and don’t want to up your marketing game, then ConvertKit may serve you well for right now.

#7. Built-in Affiliate Marketing System

If you are reading this ClickFunnels review, I believe this is something you’ll love because this is one of the features that make ClickFunnels unique and stand out among other sales funnels solutions.

Instead of spending large amounts of money on copywriting and advertising, you can set up your own affiliate marketing system right inside ClickFunnels.

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based style of marketing where you let other people pay to advertise your product and you only pay commissions based on every sale they make.

You can easily create, run and monitor an affiliate marketing program on any of your products.

This feature that lets you do this in ClickFunnels is called Backpack and it’s also only available in the $297/month Etison suite plan.

You can create, track, and manage your affiliate army who market your products FOR you easily inside the ClickFunnels Backpack.

This feature makes getting high-quality traffic to your site for FREE and almost guaranteed because ClickFunnels has a huge community of over 170k and counting where you find entrepreneurs and affiliate marketers alike.

Using BackPack is a great way to save your marketing budget while effectively promoting your products and services.

Alright, let’s go in-depth on ClickFunnels pricing and if there are any ways you can get a discount price.

ClickFunnels Pricing (2019)

Over time, ClickFunnels has evolved its pricing plans. In the beginning, they had 3 different pricing tiers, but they have only 2 separate plans now.

Currently, ClickFunnel’s basic plan is $97 per month. On this plan, you get access to all the funnel creation tools, but you’re limited to only 20 funnels, 100 pages, and 20,000 visitors per month.

And in the basic plan, you don’t get access to Actionetics and BackPack.

ClickFunnel’s second option, Etison suite plan, gives you unlimited access to everything. You get unlimited funnels, pages, and visitors. However, that’ll cost you $297 per month.

Unfortunately, ClickFunnels doesn’t offer coupon codes.

But, you can choose to pay yearly and get a 16% ClickFunnels discount. That’s equivalent to 2 months free.

However, you can get 6 Months Etison Suite Account ($1,782 value) for FREE and a ton of BONUSES when you invest in the Funnel Hacks System.

Here is the thing, ClickFunnels does make it easy for you to demo their service and try it out with their risk-free, 14-day free trial.

They actually give you unlimited access to their software so you can give it a full test before you fully commit.

Okay, now I’ll go into some negatives and downsides I’ve personally experienced or heard people complain about.

My ClickFunnels Complaints

#1. A few bugs and gets updated at a snail’s pace

I found out about ClickFunnels about a year ago and just like any SaaS company, it had a few bugs.

But there also doesn’t usually seem to be any sort of urgency to fix the issues.

Yes, they do get fixed eventually and they do update things occasionally, but it feels like it takes them a long time.

It’s one of those things I guess, and it’s something you need to be aware of as a potential customer.

However, I do see complaints inside the ClickFunnels Facebook group, but it’s mostly people who are confused about something or aren’t solution-oriented but nothing ever serious enough to cancel their account.

Because these problems really center around one thing…

#2. Poor customer service

ClickFunnels support crew are the only support crew I have seen that keeps upselling you on other products.

It’s kinda annoying though especially when you expecting to see an affiliate commission update or something.

More so, if you’re on the ClickFunnels basic plan, you only have access to regular email support. They take at least 24 hours to reply which I don’t seem to understand.

But if you’re looking for something more, like phone support or priority template requests, I believe that’s only provided to Etison suite members.

However, ClickFunnels has a HUGE community on Facebook with over 250k members where you can ask for help and I can guarantee you that someone will come to your aid.

#3. Watch Your Account Balance Drop

Though ClickFunnels has a high monthly fee of $97 on the basic plan and $297 on the Etison suite plan, it is fine for me because the software is well worth that price.

What’s not cool is the never-ending stream of products to upsell, downsell and cross-sell you after joining ClickFunnels.

They constantly push you to different products ranging from free to up to $25,000 and even $1 million dollar coaching program.

It’s pretty insane. And for a newbie like I was, it’s overwhelming, scary, and difficult to overcome.

In fact, most people probably join ClickFunnels from a free book or other product.

However, all their products are pretty awesome and it’s tempting to buy everything they have to offer and if you can, feel free. Go nuts.

But really all you need is the ClickFunnels software and a dream.

Start with ONE product. ONE message. Just ONE.

#4. A Steep Learning Curve

If you are new to online marketing, funnels, automation and more, you can’t just sign up for ClickFunnels and expect miracles to happen.

Because I tried that 1 year ago and it didn’t work.

You have to LEARN and take ACTION.

And if it weren’t for reading DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today.

You can actually get both of these books absolutely FREE (just cover shipping) by clicking the links above but you are free to get it on Amazon at $15.95.

I see people complain about paying $7.95 or $15.95 for each of those books, yet they want to make $10,000 a month online.

If you aren’t willing to put in the work to grow your online business, maybe ClickFunnels isn’t for you.

ClickFunnels Alternatives (2019)

#1. ClickFunnels Vs Thrive Themes

I don’t use Thrive Landing Pages although I know it’s a great product because I have tried it out. Here is the thing, it only does a very small part of what ClickFunnels does.

Firstly, Thrive only works with WordPress (and you must have a website to be able to use it).

And secondly, it only makes pages. It doesn’t include an autoresponder or some of the other advanced functions ClickFunnels gives you. Though they both integrate with ConvertKit and many more autoresponders.

If you do have a WordPress site, and an autoresponder service, then Thrive is an excellent alternative, but you have to remember it is designed for making pages, rather than funnels, so it lacks a lot of the features that ClickFunnels has.

#2. ClickFunnels vs LeadPages

Today, LeadPages is one of the market leaders in the landing page builder space and it’s a very popular tool in its own right.

It also has the ability to sell products directly on their pages with its Checkout widget.

Each product features a large choice of nice-looking templates. Both have drag and drop editors that make it easy for you to create the designs you want.

And both integrate with all the popular email service providers.

However, Leadpages is more limited in scope than ClickFunnels. You use it to create landing pages that will help you collect leads. This is not a bad thing because LeadPages really shines for making landing pages fast.

However, if you are selling a product or service, then ClickFunnels is the definite choice. While it comes with a higher learning curve than Leadpages, once you master the tool, you can really explode your sales once you start creating sales funnels for each of your products.

Yes, you can sell things with LeadPages, but it’s not as simple to add upsells and downsells which ClickFunnels can.

#3. ClickFunnels vs SamCart

SamCart is a tool that lets you create beautiful, high conversion checkout pages. Which gives it a lot in common with ClickFunnels.

SamCart is geared towards getting set up and selling fast. It supports both Stripe and Paypal and it comes with 17 different checkout page templates which you can customize.

In terms of flexibility, there is no comparison between ClickFunnel’s drag and drop editor and SamCart’s.

ClickFunnels is infinitely more powerful in that you can design any checkout page you can dream of. Samcart only allows for some basic customization to its pre-made templates.

SamCart does allow you to add order bumps, upsells and downsells like ClickFunnels does. You can also easily create coupons for your products which is another great way to increase conversions.

However, where Samcart is lacking, is the ability to capture leads and create complete sales funnels. Both products come in at the same $97 a month price point, and I find ClickFunnels to be a bit more flexible and powerful than Samcart.

#4. ClickFunnels vs Infusionsoft

“Infusionsoft (or Confusionsoft as its detractors call it!), is massively complex and horrendously expensive. You can’t just get started on your own – you have to pay somebody to set it up for you which could cost $2000.

Thereafter you’re in for at least $300 per month, and it is notoriously difficult to use.

Those are just the cons though. Infusionsoft is capable of building very advanced funnels also. In fact, in some ways, it’s even more powerful than ClickFunnels.

But it’s not very good at making nice looking pages and certainly not quick and easy.

Unfortunately, these SaaS companies focus on two different things. Convertkit is a good solution to replace Infusionsoft if you are feeling the need to move on to a new provider.

ClickFunnels Review 2019 Conclusion

Sure, ClickFunnels is a bit expensive but it has WAY MORE that comes with it plus you don’t need to pay extra for any 3rd party apps.

It’s a pure investment because it will be making you back that money anyway.

Trying to start an online business? Need to collect leads? Want to create a webinar funnel? Trying to set up a membership site?

If so then hands down my recommendation would be ClickFunnels because my favorite thing about ClickFunnels is time-saving.

I mean, TIME is my most valuable possession and with ClickFunnels, it all boils down to how much you value your time.

The whole purpose behind ClickFunnels is to save time and increase profits. If you use it well, it will make you far more money that it cost you, so price shouldn’t be an issue.

Especially at the entry-level (you can upgrade later).

And sure, ClickFunnels makes it really easy to start, maintain, and profit from an online business quicker and faster even if you don’t have any technical skills.

HOWEVER, there is also another huge benefit from using ClickFunnels, in addition to the product itself that nobody talks about…

It pervades everything they do, and if you become a member of the ClickFunnels community, you will find it difficult to avoid raising your marketing games as you almost subconsciously absorb all these principles.

ClickFunnels is worth it for the education alone!
